The Genesis is what we call a foundational rifle. It has everything you need, and is to be considered a blank canvas. The MILSPEC Muzzle Brake and Furniture have been service the United States Armed Forces since the M4A1 was brought into service in 1994. It’s been working pretty well for the majority of our Boys and Girls in that serve this great nation. Since then, there have been many improvements and the options for aftermarket accessories have grown into an enormous list of options. From stocks, to grips, various muzzle brakes and compensators, the options are truly endless. Because we understand that everyone has a preference AND a budget, we opted to provide an improved “less-frills” platform to offer the best foundation at the most reasonable price. We went beyond the plastic forend and included a Free Floating 15″ Keymod rail. This improves barrel harmonics along with accuracy and allows for a longer sight radius, improving the accuracy of iron sights. This also conducive to our efforts in providing a rock-solid foundation for your custom carbine. HD Defense can customize the Genesis to your taste and requirements and usual turn around time is 3-4 weeks for custom configurations.
If you are interested in purchasing a custom Genesis, please visit our “Custom” page so that we can get started on your custom firearm.

HD Defense does NOT use ANY polymer components in place of metal anywhere on our rifles.
Only the Buttstock and Pistol grip are made from polymer. Our receivers and hand-guards are made from air-craft grade aluminum, our barrel nuts are steel, and our trigger assemblies are also machined from hard steel (not steel impregnated polymer). The result is a quality and durable product that will last for many generations. We do not compromise on quality.

HD Defense fire control groups are manufactured using an “Investment Casting” process complaint with Military Standards. Typically manufacturers will use a inferior MIM (Metal Injection Molding) process. We do not use this process on our triggers because it can result in shorter service life. The investment casting process is more expensive, however we feel it is a worthwhile expense to ensure quality, life, and performance on our platform.

Also HD Defense fire control groups use a unique grinding process that results in a smoother trigger.

First rifle I’ve ever purchased under my own name.
I have absolutely no complains about this rifle whatsoever, the action is flawless, the quality in the parts used to assemble this rifle are immaculate, the feel and fact it’s made out of all U.S materials is phenomenal. Also a local company to where I live.
    Keep up the work guys.
